KARACHI: School building vacated

KARACHI, July 23: Taking action against those police personnel who has occupied a school building in North Nazimabad , the city police handed over the possession of the building to the education department of the city government, said a press release of CCPO Karachi office issued here on Saturday.

It said that the CCPO Karachi, Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui, taking serious note of a news item about the illegal occupation of a newly-constructed school building at Allama Rasheed Turabi Road, Block F, North Nazimabad, ordered the DIG operations and the TPO concerned to get it vacated.

In the continuing operation against land mafia in Baldia, more than100 plots were freed from land grabbers near Ittehad Town.

The operation was carried out in the presence of a heavy contingent of police, DO (Enforcement) of encroachment department, TMO Shaukat Malik and DTO Moeen Khan.—PPI
