PESHAWAR, July 22: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Salim Saifullah Khan, has said the provinces will have to be given their due rights because it is vital for a strong federation.
He was talking to various delegations of influential people and elected representatives of the area during his visit to the Lakki Marwat district on Saturday.
The minister said he would work for removing differences among the provinces. He said the issue of reservations among the provinces on contentious matters and the sense of deprivation among them would be addressed.
He disclosed that the first meeting of the Inter-Provincial Committee would be held next month, which would be attended by chief ministers of the provinces.
He said holding of a convention of MNAs, MPAs and senators on inter-provincial harmony in Islamabad was under consideration.—APP
