ISLAMABAD, July 22: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has said Pakistan will continue to lend diplomatic, moral and political support to the Kashmiris who are struggling to achieve their inherent right to self-determination.

He was talking to Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan, who called on him here on Saturday. The president said Pakistan wanted to resolve all issues with India in a peaceful manner through talks. He regretted that his proposal for delimitarisation and self-governance was not positively responded to by India.

He stressed that settlement of the longstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute was essential for sustained peace in the South Asian region.—A Reporter
