KARACHI, July 22: Three ships carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals were allotted berth during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy at 78pc as seven ships, Eleonora, El-Tango, Alabanda, Stolt Avance, Al-Maqwa, Yanaseni and Hau Shan Hai, were busy in loading and unloading containers, sugar, canola seeds, edible oil, diesel oil, chemicals and coke.

A cargo volume of 92,828 tons comprising 80,265 tons of import and 12,563 tons of export tonnage was handled. Four ships, Hailey, Sinar Bontang, Hurst Point and Anette Kosan, carrying containers and chemicals were due to arrive on Sunday.
