KARACHI: Encroachment on PR land

Published July 22, 2006

KARACHI, July 21: The Pakistan Railway Workers Federation has urged the authorities concerned to take notice of the encroachment of the land allotted to the railway employees near Aladdin Park.

At a meeting presided over by the PRWF President Manzoor Razi, the alleged encroachment by a builder was condemned. The meeting also cautioned people against indulging in any transactions with regard to the builder’s offer of apartments proposed to be raised on the land.

Mr Razi said that the land in Scheme 2-A, adjacent to the Aladdin Park, had been allotted to the Railway Housing Society but a builder was seeking to raise a residential project on the land which was illegal. He appealed to the Sindh High Court to take notice of the encroachment and illegal activity on the part of the builder.
