KARACHI, July 21: Six ships carrying urea, steel scrap and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships were berthed. They are: Marcalabria, Iran Baabaei, Oel Aishwarya and Calvin P. Titus, to unload and load containers, Renee, to offload coal, Man Pung, to offload sugar, Swat, to unload crude oil, and Diamond Park, to load ethanol.

Sailing was also active as 10 vessels, PAC Antlia, Orient Independence, Y.M. Moon, Hyundai Stride, Precious, Mega-1, Gundulic, Johar, Stolt Avance and Tai Shan Hui departed, while Calvin P. Titus, Placid Sea, Phoenix Leader, Marcaalabria, Oel Aishwarya, Angara, Thor Captain and Swat are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves fairly brisk where a total tonnage swelled to 0.136m tons comprising 12,589 tons of export tonnage, including 1,370 tons of cement and 0.123m tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Sea Glory, with 4,750 tons of lube oil, Free Star, to load 2,000 tons of ethanol, Iran Shahryar, with containers, Spyros-S, with 36,000 tons of urea, Marine Blue, with general cargo, and Ocean Morning, with 31,000 tons of steel scrap.
