ISLAMABAD, July 19: The World Health Organisation (WHO) will continue providing assistance to the Pakistan government for its ongoing and future projects in health sector.

The assurance came in a meeting of a WHO delegation led by Dr Belgacem Sabri, director health systems and services development, with Federal Minister for Health Mohammad Nasir Khan here on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed future collaboration to strengthen the health system in Pakistan.

On the occasion, the minister briefed the delegation about various steps being taken by the government for improvement of health facilities in the country.

He commended the role of WHO during the last year’s tragic earthquake.
