KARACHI, July 19: The administrative judge of anti-terrorism courts in Karachi sent on Wednesday two men, accused of kidnapping a an infant for ransom, to jail, directing the investigation officer to submit charge-sheet against them on July 26.

Khizar Hayat and Mohammad Shahzad are charged with kidnapping Abdul Rehman on July 10 from his house in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Block-10 Karachi and demanded Rs.1 million as ransom for his release.

AJ Amir Hani Muslim, however, accepted the police report filed under Section 169 CrP.C for the release of the third accused Imran as no evidence was found against him.

Remanding the accused to jail, the AJ directed the investigation officer to submit charge-sheet against them on the next date of hearing.—PPI
