LAHORE: Former patron-in-chief of Istehkam-i-PakistanParty Jahangir Khan Tareen on Monday inaugurated a state-of-the-art computer labatory at the Government MAO Graduate College,Lahore.
The computer laboratory has been developed at a cost of Rs10 million, including the provision of modern equipment.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Jahangir Tareen said the importance of information technology in the present era could not be denied.
He said reducing educational disparity in society was an important need of the time.
Students belonging to lower-income segments should have access to the same quality educational facilities and opportunities available to students studying at the country’s leading educational institutions.
He said that educational initiatives, including TICER and Amina Girls Degree College in South Punjab, had also been undertaken with the same vision of providing students with quality education and modern facilities in their own communities.
