KARACHI, July 19: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers and sugar also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy remained at 56pc as only five ships, San Clemente, Sealand Freedom, Mar Blue, Chem Adriatic and Ottawa, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, edible oil and diesel oil. A cargo volume of 61,281 tons comprising 44,226 tons of import and 17,055 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Sealand Freedom, Mega-I, Khairpur and Mar Blue left the port while Chem Adriatic, San Clemente and Ottawa were due to depart.
