LAKKI MARWAT: Three people were killed and their bullet-riddled bodies were found at two separate places within the limits of Serai Gambila and Ghaznikhel police stations of Lakki Marwat district on Friday.

A police official said that a party of the Serai Gambila police station was informed during patrol duty that two bodies were lying in the Shagai area. He said that the law enforcers immediately reached the place, took the bodies into their custody and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital.

He said that the deceased were young boys and they had been killed with a firearm. Separately, another body was found dumped in the fields near Gulbaz Dehqan area.

The official said that the Ghaznikhel police transported the body to the DHQ Hospital where it was handed over to the relatives after completing medico-legal formalities.

He said that police initiated an investigation into the murder incidents after registering separate cases under relevant sections of law in the police stations concerned.

Also on Friday, a twenty-two-year-old boy was shot dead in the Kotka Walibat Adamzai area of the district.

Police said that Muhammad Din opened fire on Inshaullah with his pistol, killing him on the spot.

They said that the killer escaped the place and a case was registered against him under Section 302 (intentional murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code in Tajori police station.

In another shooting incident, a man was killed, and a woman received bullet injuries in a firing incident. Police identified the deceased as Inayatullah and said that the body and injured woman were transferred to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Meanwhile, a bandit was killed, and his accomplice was injured in an exchange of fire with police in Karak district late on Thursday night.

A police official said that DPO Imran Khan sent a police party to the Shaheedan area when he received information that a bandits’ gang was looting citizens and snatching vehicles from them on Indus Highway.

Moreover, police on Friday claimed to have safely recovered two kidnapped men Fawad and Suleman, residents of Nowshera from their captors in the Tajori town of Lakki Marwat district.
