MUZAFFARABAD, July 18: Activists of Imamia Students Organisation (ISO) and Shia Action Committee staged a demonstration here on Tuesday to condemn Israeli attacks on Lebanon and assassination of a top Shiite leader in Karachi.

“Down with America, Down with Israel,” chanted the demonstrators as they marched through the rubble-strewn streets of the AJK capital.

The demonstrators were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism, the United States and Israel.

“Attack on Hezbollah and Hamas (by Israel) is attack against the Muslim Ummah,” a banner read. Several placards displayed slogans expressing complete solidarity with the two organisations.
