Eleven Pakistanis in finals

LAHORE, July 18: Eleven Pakistani players representing the Punjab Squash Association entered the finals of their respective age groups in the ongoing Northern Indian Open Squash Championship in Delhi on Tuesday.

The star of the day was Shoaib Hassan who created a real upset when he defeated Indian No 1 Ritwick Bhattacharia in the quarterfinals of the Open category.

Others who advanced into the finals included Abdul Rasheed (over-35), Raza Yaqoob (under-17), Owais Rahim, Aurangzeb Khan (under-15), Hamza Bukhari, Haroon Rasheed (under-13) and Ali Bukhari, Ammad Farid (under-11), Roshana Mehboob (under-15) and Zoya Khalid.

A 44-player contingent from the Punjab Squash Association is participating in the championship.
