QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove has said that officers and personnel of Balochistan police have made great sacrifices for establishing law and order in the province and their services will always be remembered in golden letters.
Speaking at a Police Martyrs’ Day ceremony, he said Balochistan is a sensitive province facing various security challenges, but police officers and personnel of the province played a key role in establishing peace through their professional skills and courage.
The minister announced that Balochistan police will be equipped with modern weapons and equipment to meet future challenges.
Praising services of the policemen who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, the minister said that all possible steps will be taken for the welfare of these policemen’s families.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Police of Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, said the province’s peace and stability have been secured through the sacrifices of 1,195 police officers and personnel who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
“These unsung heroes gave their blood so that we may live with dignity. Death is inevitable, but our resolve remains firm to crush the enemies of innocent people and their nefarious designs,” he said.
