LAHORE: The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) Lahore and Multan on Wednesday announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (First Annual) Examination 2026, with girls dominating the overall top positions in both boards.
BISE Lahore organised a ceremony to announce the names of the position holders in the matriculation examinations.
School and Higher Education Departments Secretary Mudassar Riaz Malik and BISE Lahore Chairman Eng Prof Dr Badrul Islam announced the names of the top-performing students.
Dr Islam congratulated all position holders, their parents, and teachers, and urged students to continue working hard for future success.
According to the list of top position holders, Amina Mahboob, a student of The Educators High School for Girls, Sir Syed Campus, Pattoki, Kasur, secured the overall first position with 1,192 marks. Muhammad Qasim of Punjab Daanish High School for Boys, Fazilpur, Rajanpur, stood second with 1,191 marks, while Azwa Javed of The Punjab Girls High School, Johar Town, Lahore, obtained the third position with 1,190 marks.

In the science group among boys, Muhammad Qasim topped with 1,191 marks, followed jointly by Onkar Singh of Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore, and Muhammad Ayan of Crescent Kids Campus High School, Lahore, with 1,189 marks each. Muhammad Ayyan of The Educators Boys High School, Lahore secured the third position with 1,188 marks.
Among girls in the science group, Amina Mahboob secured the first position with 1,192 marks, Azwa Javed stood second with 1,190 marks, while Fatima Ibrar of Pak Garrison Girls High School, Nankana Sahib obtained the third position with 1,189 marks.
In the humanities group, Muhammad Abdullah, a private candidate from Nankana Sahib topped among boys with 1,126 marks. Muhammad Bilal Baig of Government Higher Secondary School for Boys Jallo More Lahore secured the second position with 1,112 marks, while private candidate Ammad Hafeez from Lahore stood third with 1,109 marks.
Among girls in humanities, Fariba Khan of The Punjab Girls High School, Johar Town, Lahore, secured the first position with 1,170 marks. Eman Fatima Saleem of Iqra Huffaz Girls Secondary School, Lahore obtained second position with 1,166 marks, while Fatima Abdul Samad of the same institution secured the third position with 1,150 marks.
Multan BISE also announced the results of top position holders.
Mehreen Rasool of Ibn-e-Seena Girls Higher Secondary School, Dunyapur, secured the overall first position with 1,190 marks. Faiqa Mahboob of Aligarh Girls Higher Secondary School, Kahror Pacca, stood second with 1,188 marks.
Three students shared the third position with 1,187 marks each: Hamna Ibrahim of Iqra Education System Girls Higher Secondary School, Shujabad, Khadija Chaudhry of Elixir High School for Girls, Multan, and Arsalna Fatima of Muslim Public Girls Higher Secondary School, Multan.
In the science group among boys, Hamza Imran and Abdul Mueed Ahmad, both of Nishat Boys High School Multan jointly secured the first position with 1,184 marks each. Sami Ullah of Muslim Public High School for Boys, Multan obtained the second position with 1,180 marks, while Abdul Hadi of Government Jame-ul-Aloom High School, New Multan, Muhammad Yahya of Khalid Bin Waleed High School, Kabirwala and Arsal Ahsan of Tabindah Model High School, Burewala jointly secured the third position with 1,179 marks.
Among girls in the science group, Mehreen Rasool topped with 1,190 marks, followed by Faiqa Mehboob with 1,188 marks. Hamna Ibrahim, Khadija Choudhary and Arsalna Fatima shared the third position with 1,187 marks each.
In the humanities group among boys, Muhammad Waqas of Vehari secured the first position with 1,089 marks, Faizan Kamran of Falcon House Grammar School, Multan stood second with 1,083 marks, while Muhammad Mughni of Multan secured the third position with 1,066 marks.
Among girls in humanities, Tanzeela Abbas of Government Girls High School, Basti Khudadad, Multan secured the first position with 1,123 marks. Amna Ashiq of Government Girls High School, Saudabad, Mian Channu, and Sitara Bibi of Government Girls High School, Khaliq Pura, Multan jointly secured the second position with 1,121 marks each. Tayyaba of Government Girls English Medium Model High School, Khanewal and Fazeelat Fatima of Government Girls High School, Madina Colony, Burewala shared the third position with 1,116 marks.
The Punjab government is organising a prize distribution ceremony in honour of all position holders and it will be held today (Thursday) at 10am at the Nawaz Sharif Centre of Excellence, Lahore.
Punjab Minister for School and Higher Education Rana Sikandar Hayat and Board Task Force Committee Chairman Muzammil Mahmood will attend the ceremony as chief guests and distribute prizes and certificates among the position-holding students.
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Similar results were witnessed in Dera Ghazi Khan BISE where Chairman Prof Dr Abdul Raouf announced the names of the position holders. Overall, female students dominated the results with nine positions, while male students secured six positions.
In the overall board-wide ranking, Abdullah Salim from Layyah secured the first position with 1,191 marks. Mir Mujtaba from Taunsa Sharif claimed the second position with 1,190 marks, while the third position was shared by Farwa Ahmed from Muzaffargarh, Mirab Zahra from Layyah, and Syed Muhammad Jon Abbas from Layyah, each securing 1,189 marks.
SARGODHA: BISE Chairman Abbas Haider Gondal announced the names of the position holders. The overall first position was secured by Nabil Ahmed Kazmi of Government High School 47/TDA, Bhakkar by securing 1,188 marks, the second position was jointly shared by Hadiya Fatima of Government Girls Higher Secondary School 47/TDA, Bhakkar and Muhammad of Government High School Chak 19/SB, Sargodha with 1,186 marks each, while the third position was shared by Munifa Asif of Fauji Foundation Girls Higher Secondary School Nowshera and Aiman Mumtaz of Islamic Altavista High School (Girls) Sargodha with 1,185 marks each.
BAHAWALPUR: In Bahawalpur BISE, the overall first and second positions were clinched by two candidates from the Government Abbasia Higher Secondary School, Bahawalpur.
Abdul Haseeb and Muzamil Belal secured the first and second overall position by securing 1,186 and 1,184 marks respectively. The third position was shared by Javeria Fatimah of Ummal-Qura Public Girls High School, Bahawalpur and Eaman Fatimah of Government Girls High School, Model Town A, Bahawalpur by obtaining 1,183 marks each.
TOBA TEK SINGH: Umna Salahuddin from the City Grammar School Faisalabad secured the overall first position in the annual examinations in Faisalabad with 1,191 marks.
Ramin Fatima of Divisional Public School Samundri and Muhammad Raif Abdul Ahad of Iman Public Boys High School Chak 75JB Sihal, Faisalabad secured the second and third positions by getting 1,190 and 1,189 marks respectively.
