PESHAWAR, July 18: NWFP Health Minister Inayatullah Khan has said that the MMA government was planning to appoint specialist doctors in the evening shift in all the teaching hospitals so that the poor and deserving people could get better medical care.

He was talking to patients and their attendants during a visit to the Hayatabad Medical Complex on Tuesday.

He said for big hospitals the government was providing an additional grant of Rs600 million.

He said that for secondary healthcare Rs900 million would be provided as an additional grant this year.

Mr Inayatullah said the government wanted to improve the health care system in the province and expressed hope that it would succeed in this regard.

He directed doctors to ensure their presence in health institutions for the larger interest of the ailing humanity.

He also directed the doctors to fulfil requirements of patients in the hospital.
