HYDERABAD, July 18: Central leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and acting president of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP), Dr Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, has condemned Zionist aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.

In a statement faxed to Dawn on Tuesday, he said it was an open act of terrorism by Israel against the Muslim world. Criminal silence of America on the massacre of Muslims was a glaring proof of the fact that Israel enjoyed Washington’s blessings.

Helplessness of the United Nations to stop the Zionist aggression had made it clear that Israel was subservient to the United States and could do nothing on its own.

He also criticized the Muslim rulers who were maintaining a discreet silence on the genocide of Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Lebanon.

MNA Mohammad Zubair urged the Muslim rulers to declare a Jihad against Israel if it did not stop attacks on Palestine and Lebanon.

The council was of the unanimous opinion that efforts should be made to expedite the preparation of computerised NICs within minimum possible time.

They also discussed issues of the enhancement of honorarium of the taluka and UC nazims and council members and construction of a civic centre.
