ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: United Nations on Wednesday said that a bomb got dropped on a boys school in Kabul which fortunately failed to explode.
Speaking at a news conference, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance to Afghanistan (UNOCHA) spokesperson said: “It was a direct hit but the bomb did not explode.” Experts of UN Mine Action Programme were trying to defuse the bomb, he said.
The UNHCR spokesperson, Rupert Colville said that work was in progress on four refugee camps in the NWFP with the construction of two other sites expected to begin Thursday.
