KARACHI, July 13: On the directives of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, the city government issued a notification on Thursday for the provision of facilities to the city government’s employees at par with that of the employees of the former KDA and KBCA, which would benefit more than 22,000 city government workers.

According to the notification, house rent of KMC employees has been raised from 45 per cent to 65 per cent like the former KMC employees while medical facilities are also raised to the level of the former KDA and now employees of former KMC could get medical treatment from big hospitals of the metropolis.

Employees of KMC will be provided all facilities, which were announced by the city nazim during his budget speech in the City Council on June 22, which was later approved by the council on June 29 under resolution number 59, the notification said.—PPI
