QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Awami National Party (ANP) President Aimal Wali Khan on Friday discussed political situation in the country at a meeting between the two leaders in Islamabad.
The two leaders said that continued dialogue, stronger political coordination, and the promotion of democratic traditions were essential to tackle national issues.
A spokesman for the chief minister said that the meeting between the two leaders was held on Thursday night.
“Both leaders held detailed discussions on national unity, law and order, inter-provincial harmony, and the need for political cooperation to address the country’s challenges,” the spokesman said.
The meeting also emphasised the importance of effective cooperation between the federation and provinces, resolving public issues, and promoting lasting peace and stability in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bugti said that peace, development, and public welfare in Balochistan are the government’s top priorities, adding that national unity and political harmony were key to ensuring a bright and stable future for the country.
Aimal Wali Khan expressed good wishes for peace and stability in Balochistan and appreciated efforts for development and strengthening political engagement in the province.
