Ali, Zeeshan put KG in semis

KARACHI, July 12: Ali Allawala and Zeeshan Essa put Karachi Gymkhana in the semi-finals of the inaugural Ian Fyfe Invitation Twenty 20 cricket tournament beating Aga Khan Gymkhana (AKG) by 34 runs at the KGA Ground.

Ali Allawala smashed 77 off 54 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes and Kamran Hussain hit 28 in 17 deliveries with two sixes and a four as Karachi Gymkhana scored 166 for five in 20 overs.

AKG, in reply, were restricted to 132 for eight in 20 overs with Zeeshan Essa grabbing four for 24.
