69 more women released

LAHORE, July 12: Sixty-nine women prisoners were released from Punjab prisons on Wednesday under the presidential ordinance.

A prison department spokesman said so far 199 women inmates had been released from the Punjab jails.

The spokesman said 47 women were released from Lahore, four each from Sargodha and Dera Ghazi Khan, three each from Rawalpindi and Jhang, two each from Jhelum and Gujranwala and one each from Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Mianwali and Bahawalpur jails. —Staff Reporter
