JHANG, July 12: A youth was killed by in-laws of his father here on Tuesday at Chak No 258 in Mochiwala police limits.
Reports said Ashraf’s father had contracted second marriage with Anwar Bibi, sister of accused Haq Nawaz and Manik. Anwar Bibi had a son from her first marriage who started living with his stepfather. The accused wanted him to join them. On Monday, they went to the house of Ashraf, demanded the return of their nephew and exchanged harsh words with the family members.
Later, Haq Nawaz and Manik intercepted Ashraf on Tuesday when he was on his way to the fields and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, killing him on the spot.
