ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going to establish Al-Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad’s F-6 sector near flower market with an estimated cost of Rs130 million.
CDA has already floated tender for this project and bids will be opened on July 9. A state of the art Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre (PAKC), offering more than 60 services under a single roof in the Mauve Area of G-9 Sector was inaugurated last year.
The government through the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, set up the PAKC in the erstwhile Pakistan Public Works Department Building in Sector G-9 with the financial support of Azerbaijan. The centre is a replica of Azerbaijan’s ASAN Xidmt.
PAKC project was executed by CDA. It seems, after being impressed by PAKC, the CDA is now going to setup a new centre in sector F-6. Interestingly, the CDA had already offered its service in PAKC building as well.
“Yes, we are going to set up Al Khidmat Centre in sector F-6 to facilitate citizens. After opening bids on July 9, we will issue work orders. Purpose of this center is to provide maximum facilities under one roof,” an officer said.
