RAHIM YAR KHAN: The body of a five-year-old girl was found on Sunday in the fields near her home a day after she went missing in Khanbela town area of tehsil Liaqatpur.

‘N’, a daughter of Jalil Soomro, a resident of Dera Jattan, went missing the other day when she went to cut fodder in nearby fields. Her parents searched for her and told Sheedani Police Station about it. On Sunday, her body was found in a sugarcane field near a petrol pump on National Highway Khanbela.

The sources said she was murdered.

The body of the child was shifted to Khanbela Rural Health Centre.

In another incident, a man was murdered in the Airport Road area near Basti Amanat Ali.

According to Rescue 1122, Talha Zafar (35) was killed near Al-Noor Medical Store by Shehryar with gunshots. He was allegedly killed over a monetary dispute. Later, according to sources, the suspect was arrested by police.

Police spokesperson Zeeshan Randhawa told Dawn that the FIR against Sheharyar was registered with B-Division Police Station.
