IT parks in dists planned

QUETTA, Feb 9: The government will set up Information Technology Parks in every district of the province, said Balochistan minister for information and social welfare Ms Roshan Khurshid Bharucha during her visit to the computer centre at Social Welfare Centre at Pishin here on Saturday.

She said, “Besides other sectors, funds have also been allocated for the promotion of IT sector under the Khushal Pakistan Programme by which IT faculties would be established at schools and colleges, and computers would be provide to them.” She said provision of better and latest education facilities to youth was government’s top priority.

Briefing the minister about the development schemes and the measures taken to promote IT in the district under KPP, the DCO Pishin said, “Six colleges and 26 high schools have been provided computers and social welfare centres would also be given provided such facilities.”

The minister also visited the mobile service unit of the population department.—APP
