KFUEIT welcomes international students

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) on Wednesday organised a reception ceremony in honour of international students who have joined the university under the COMSTECH-KFUEIT Consortium of Excellence Programme.

The international students will spend the next six months at the KFUEIT and conduct research in their respective fields under the consortium of excellence initiative. During their stay, they will utilise the university’s state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities to advance their academic and scientific work.

Speaking on the occasion,Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Amir Azam Khan highlighted the significance of international academic collaboration. He stated that KFUEIT was committed to providing a world-class learning and research environment that promoted innovation, creativity, and global engagement.

“The presence of international students enriches our academic culture and strengthens our vision of becoming a globally connected institution. We are delighted to welcome these talented scholars to KFUEIT and assure them of our full support in achieving academic and research excellence,” he remarked.

The VC further noted that the university’s advanced laboratories, qualified faculty, and research-focused ecosystem offer students an ideal platform to enhance their knowledge and contribute meaningfully to scientific and technological advancement.

The international students joining KFUEIT hail from Yemen and represent diverse academic disciplines. The group includes Galal Abdullah Ahmed Omar from the Department of Chemistry, Esmail Shadad and Saleem Dawood Hassan from Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Isa Abdulmojaib Sultan Abdulwali Alarasi from the Department of Physics and Lutf Ali Mohammed Qasim Al Etabi from Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Expressing their gratitude, the students thanked the university administration for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them. They shared that the academic environment, modern facilities, and research opportunities available at the KFUEIT were highly impressive. The students also expressed their happiness at becoming part of a university that holds a distinguished position in national and international rankings.
