Man arrested on rape charge

TAXILA: Police on Tuesday arrested a man on the charge of sexually assaulting a widow in Hattar village of Fatehjang.

The victim reported to the police that a native of her area developed relations with her on the pretext of marrying her and later raped her. Police registered a case against the suspect and arrested him.

Drug peddlers held

Attock police arrested four alleged drug peddlers in separate operations across the district and recovered more than one kilogramme of crystal meth (ice) and four kgs of hashish from their possession. According to police sources, the arrests were made during routine checking and search operations conducted by different police stations.

The Hassanabdal police arrested Mehsad Iftikhar, a resident of Peshawar, after recovering 1,020 grams of ice from his possession.
