Austerity measures terminated, markets time retained

LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved termination of all ‘fuel conservation and additional austerity measures’ notified by the Cabinet Division from time to time since March 9, except for market timings specified in notifications of June 3 and 10, which shall remain applicable.

Closing time of shops, markets, shopping malls and bazaars, departmental and general stores, marriage halls, commercial places, festive events, restaurants, cafés and food outlets would remain the same, according to the notification.

Furthermore, the austerity measures in field before the outbreak of the Middle East conflict, which were notified by the Finance and Cabinet Divisions and vide other policy directions prior to March 9 shall remain in force.
