PESHAWAR, July 10: The city police arrested dozens of criminals wanted under various sections of law during a drive against outlaws and proclaimed offenders here and recovered automatic weapons from their possession.

According to police here on Monday, the crackdown against the criminals was started on the directives of chief of Capital City Police, Habibur Rehman Khan.

The police raided suspected hideouts of proclaimed offenders and arrested Shah Zameen and Zawwar Khan in the jurisdiction of Daudzai police station.

The police also claimed to have recovered pistol, rifle, kalakove, 10kg charas and 18kg liquor during the operation. —APP
