Couple, relative critically injured in cylinder blast

LARKANA: Two women and a man sustained critical burns in a cylinder explosion in their home, located in Gulshan-i-Madina Colony along Airport Road, on Monday.

Relatives of the victims told reporters that the family head, Mohammad Salah Jamali, 30, was making tea in the early hours of morning when the gas cylinder he was using exploded and triggered a fire. The blaze also engulfed his wife, Arifa Jamali, 20, and a close relative, Ikhtiar Khatoon, 48.

They were rushed to the Chandka Medical College Hospital for treatment. The doctors who examined them said that Salah Jamali sustained 90pc burns and was referred to a major hospital in Karachi due to his extremely critical condition.
