Woman killed by speeding car

ISLAMABAD: A woman was killed, and another was critically injured when a speeding car struck them in Islamabad on Saturday, in a tragic road accident that drew an emergency response to the scene.

According to details, rescue officials said the incident took place near Zia Masjid within the jurisdiction of Khana Police Station in Islamabad, where a speeding vehicle hit two women, resulting in a fatal accident, a local news channel reported.

The deceased woman was identified as Nazima, 40, while another woman sustained serious injuries.

Soon after receiving information, police teams reached the spot and shifted both the deceased and the injured to a hospital for medical and legal procedures.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident, and police have initiated legal proceedings and started an investigation into the incident.
