Iranian media has reported explosions in the country’s south near the Strait of Hormuz after Washington acknowledged carrying out defensive strikes, AFP reports.
Explosions have been heard in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, the island of Qeshm, and the cities of Minab and Sirik, they say.
