US President Donald Trump claims that last month, he ordered the US military to carry out a “secret mission” to extricate over 100 million barrels of oil from the Strait of Hormuz and onto the open market.
“More than 200 commercial ships have safely travelled through the Strait,” he writes on Truth Social. “This wildly successful effort is because the United States of America controls the Strait of Hormuz — not Iran.”
