UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says he is “deeply alarmed” by the renewed escalation in violence in the Middle East, Reuters reports.
“All attacks must stop immediately. The ceasefires in Lebanon, Iran and Gaza must be fully respected,” he says in a post on X.
“Any steps that could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts must be avoided,” he further said.
