KARACHI: Workshop concludes

KARACHI, July 8: The 15-day workshop for preparation of manual containing training material for teachers, supervisors and head teachers under the model schools project has concluded.

After preparation of the training manual on science, mathematics, English, social studies and sports subject, a total of 360 master trainers would be trained. In this regard, 36 master trainers would be imparted training for each subject. In the second phase, master trainers would train other teachers.

According to a city government statement, the joint project of the city government and the FPCCI to set up 36 model schools is in full swing.

In this connection, two buildings in each town, one each for boys and girls, is being selected for the purpose.

The children studying in model schools will be provided with bags, books, copies, pencils, lunch, uniform and other facilities as per standard of quality private schools. The city government has earmarked Rs400 million in the budget for the purpose.—PPI
