KARACHI: Lyari budget

KARACHI, July 8: A budget of Rs547.55 million of fiscal 2006-7 has been announced for Lyari Town. The budget documents show that the town anticipates Rs2.82 million from its own revenue sources, Rs110.164 million (local taxes), Rs433.421 million (octroi Zila tax grants), Rs1.15 million (capital public accounts).

Rs434.205 million has been proposed for non-development expenditure including Rs224.253 million for establishment, Rs181.702 million for contingencies and Rs28.25 million for maintenance.

The break-up of anticipated total development expenditure shows Rs25 million as liabilities of previous years while Rs77.55 million has been earmarked for ongoing schemes, Rs9.6 million for citizens community board schemes and Rs50,000 for new development schemes.
