ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday appointed Yawar Hussain, a BS-20 Officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), as director general of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

Yawar, who is currently posted under the government of Punjab, will join the PSB as its director general on deputation in the next few days.

It is relevant to note here the post of PSB director general fell vacant recently after Yasir Pirzada was sent back to his parent department.

Subsequently, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, is looking after the PSB affairs as additional charge. On Monday, however, Establishment Division issued the notification of Yawar’s appointment as DG.
