LAHORE: Three labourers died after suffering an electric shock when an iron ladder touched overhead power lines at the Sher Shah Toll Plaza on Shujaabad Road in Multan.

According to Rescue 1122, three workers employed by a private contractor were working to install the roof of the toll plaza. They had repaired a light installed on the steel roof of the toll plaza and were carrying an iron ladder back to the storage area when it accidentally touched power lines. As a result, all three workers received a severe electric shocks and died at the scene.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Qayyum (23), Atif (23) and Amin Hamza (38). Police and rescue later shifted the bodies to the morgue.
