Munawar off to London

LAHORE, July 7: Jamaat-i-Islami secretary-general Syed Munawar Hasan left for London on Friday to meet Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif and attend annual conference of the UK Islami Mission.

According to a Jamaat press release, Syed Munawar Hasan would meet Mr Sharif and Ms Bhutto as special envoy of Jamaat amir Qazi Husain Ahmad and discuss the possibilities of future cooperation with the PPP and the PML-N and other component parties of the ARD.
