Woman, daughter among four killed in road accidents

SWABI/DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A woman and her daughter were killed and four other family members sustained critical injuries in a road accident here on Thursday. In a separate accident, two real brother were killed in Dera Ismail Khan.

Swabi Rescue 1122 officials said an incident took place on Swabi-Mardan road when a motorcycle and a tractor-trolley collided at Karnal Sher Kali Islampura area. The deceased were identified as 20-year old Arosa Bibi and her one-year old daughter Noor Bibi.

Rescue 1122 official said that six members of a family were on way on a single bike to Turlandi village.

Injured Ismail Khan, 30, was driving the motorcycle, while his wife Shahbina Bibi, 28, was sitting behind him while holding her two-year-old daughter, Hanifa.

Similarly, deceased Arosa, sister-in-law of Ismail Khan, was also sitting on the same bike while holding her one-year-old daughter while six-year-old Safyan Khan was sitting on the fuel tank.

The bike collided with the tractor trolley near Islampura bus stop and as result all six members of the family were injured. They were taken to tehsil headquarters hospital, Razaar where doctors pronounced Arosa and her daughter dead.

Meanwhile, two teenage brothers were killed in a road accident on Chashma Road near Dhakki in Paharpur tehsil of DI Khan on Thursday, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a private school bus near Dhakki. As a result of the collision, the two motorcycle riders died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as 19-year-old Ameer Hamza and 14-year-old Ahmad, residents of Sheikh Yousaf area of Dera Ismail Khan. Officials said the victims were brothers.
