ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday held detailed talks on the law and order situation in the province and reviewed measures taken to counter terrorism in the region.

Governor Kundi briefed the interior minister on the security challenges facing the province. Both leaders paid tribute to security forces for successful intelligence-based operations against terrorists and paid homage to martyrs of the war against terrorism, according to an official statement.

The sacrifices of security forces for establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are unforgettable, Mr Naqvi said. The interior minister assured the governor of every possible cooperation for establishing peace and stability in the province.

The federal government is extending full cooperation to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for establishing peace in the province, Mr Naqvi said.
