RAWALPINDI: Another Green Electric Bus was damaged after being hit by a stone while traveling from Bhatta Chowk towards Misrial Road on Monday. However, no passenger was hurt or injured

Police said that the green bus driver informed the emergency police that a green bus traveling from Bhatta Chwok towards Misrail Road carrying passengers was struck by a stone near the PSO pump causing damage to the window glass of the bus.

Upon receiving the emergency call, SHO Naseerabad along with personnel immediately reached the spot and contacted the caller. The caller, who is the bus driver of the Green Bus, stated that he was currently at the Saddar bus stop and explained that construction work was ongoing on the road and sand and gravel were scattered on the surface. While another vehicle was passing, when a small stone slipped from its tyre and hit the bus window, resulting in a scratch/damage on the glass. However, no further damage was done. All the passengers onboard remained unhurt.

Earlier, a green electric bus was attacked by unidentified persons who pelted the bus with stone causing damage to its window glass on Peshawar Road on April 29. Rhiraz Ahmad, green electric bus route officer, had lodged an FIR with the police saying that he was on way to Motorway Moor from Marir Chwok with about 100 passengers, including women and children on board.
