ISLAMABAD, July 6: President General Pervez Musharraf on Thursday advised the ruling party MNAs and nazims from southern and northern districts of Punjab to end differences in the party before the 2007 elections.

According to sources, the president asked the PML members to expedite development projects in their areas to gain credibility before polls.

The MNAs and nazims who attended the meeting in Aiwan-i-Sadr belong to Khanewal, Lodhran, Multan, Layyah, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, D.G. Khan, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Shiekhupura.

Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, secretary-general Mushahid Hussain Syed and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi were also present.
