KARACHI, July 5: Promising Yasir Khan has jumped to No 1 slot in the half yearly rankings announced by the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) on Wednesday.
The ranking is based on three tournaments organised by the STA during the first six months.
Yasir has amassed 75 points to top the men’s ranking replacing Khalid Ali Nazar.
Four players including Davis Cupper Aqeel Khan are tied at the second position with 35 points. The other three are Danish Ahmed, Rizwan Shamsi and Mohammad Shafiq.
Occupying joint third slot with 25 points are Nomi Qamar and Ghulam Abbas.
Former National hard court champion, Sehr Khwaja, has maintained her top berth in women’s category with 65 points. She is followed by Eman Malik (40) and Michiko Domichi (25).
Raza brothers, Abbas and Zuhair, topped the Juniors U-17 and U-15 rankings with 80 and 85 points to their credit.
Attaining top berth in boys U-13 and U-11 category are Mustafa Zaidi (80) and Khwaja Hamza (100) while Eman Malik leads the girls U-17 with 30 points.

Juniors U-15: Zuhair Raza (85); Sunny Williams (60); Mohammad Mustafa Jamali (40).
Boys U-13: Mustafa Zaidi (80); Adil Kohari (60); Nameer Shamsi (40).
Boys U-11: Khwaja Hamza (100); Sheryar Ahmed (60); Imran Mooraj (50).
Girls U-17: Eman Malik (30); Mehak Tanveer (20); Samar Essa, Sundas Tanveer (15).
