An Iranian military source tells Tasnim that the drone attacks that entered the UAE’s airspace, targeting the Barakah nuclear plant, were carried out by Israelis.

The source added that the “Zionist regime is seeking to push the UAE toward greater negative involvement in the region against Iran and other Islamic countries”.

It may be mentioned that in its initial statement, the UAE’s defence ministry had said the UAVs entered its airspace from the western direction, later saying that an investigation found they originated from Iraq.

Associated Press noted that the UAE’s stance indicated that Iraqi Shia groups were “likely behind the assault”.
