Qatar has condemned a drone attack on Saudi Arabia, stressing that it was a “threat” to the security of the region.

In a statement, the country’s foreign ministry said, “The State of Qatar strongly condemns the attempt to target the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with drones, considering it a rejected aggression and a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, and a threat to its security and safety as well as the security of the region”.

The statement added that Qatar stood in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterated its “support for all measures it takes to preserve its security and sovereignty and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory”.
