KARACHI: A large number of pensioners of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) staged a peaceful demonstration near Matric Board Office against deduction in their pensions.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Govt Pensioners Movement PTCL Chairman Feroz Bakht, Saad Ishraque and others said that the Pak Telecom Employees Trust had violated its charter by deducting pensions since 2010.

They said that the apex court had declared the deduction illegal on July 10, 2025.

The speakers demanded action against those responsible for the unilateral deductions.

They also demanded that pensioners be provided with improved healthcare facilities near their residences.
