KARACHI: A launching ceremony of two transformative digital initiatives was held on the premises of the Sindh High Court on Saturday with a view to modernising judicial administration and enhancing access to justice for all.

According to a statement issued by the SHC, the LRC-Assistant (AI enabled Search Engine) and Mobile App (CFMS) on iOS Platform were developed in-house by the IT department of the SHC.

It also said that the LRC-Assistant was an AI-powered legal research and decision-support system and it was designed to assist judges and research officers through an “intelligent chatbot interface, leveraging trained machine learning models and indexed judicial data repositories”.

“It enables advanced query-based retrieval of judgments/orders and the system further integrates access to orders, case diaries, and related judicial records by extracting and processing data from scanned as well as digitised case files,” it added.

The statement further said that CFMS was a user-friendly iOS platform to provide litigants, advocates and citizens with convenient access to court services and case information.

It stated: “The ceremony reaffirms the court’s steadfast commitment to modernising judicial administration and enhancing access to justice for all.”
