KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said efforts are being made to open in phases the under-construction sections of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line for traffic.

In a statement issued on Saturday, he said once work on the project resumes, citizens will witness noticeable improvement within the next two to three months.

He said Red Line was not just a project, but the lifeline of Karachi’s future, with the potential to bring revolutionary change to the city’s transport system.

He said that while the public may face temporary inconvenience during the completion of mega projects, the Sindh government is fully aware of the situation.

In this regard, clear instructions have been issued to the relevant institutions to improve traffic flow, he said, adding that the Sindh government prioritised public interest and took effective measures to ensure both the pace and quality of the project.
